Amplified is an all-gender-inclusive, student-run a cappella group from the University of Arizona, donning our Ampli-colors: black and La Fonda Turquoise. Yes, it is that specific shade. It is hard to shop for, as you can see from our mismatching teal.
The organization was founded in 2012 to create a fun, close-knit community of people who love to sing, create, and perform. The arrangements that we perform reflects the wide array of taste and background of music within the members of our group. We have featured artists in our sets including Drake, Billie Eilish, James Blake, Daughter, Little Mix, Jon Bellion, Sleeping at Last, Aurora, and more. Our sets always aim to focus on telling a story that reaches beyond the meaning of the songs on their own, in order to create a more impactful experience.
Amplified has a strong base within the University of Arizona community, having performed within a variety of Housing and Residential Life Programs such as Highland Rocks the Block, Diva La Paz, Cochava, Espresso Yourself, CarniVida, the Nova Home Loans Bowl, and many more.
At the core of our group are the friendships we forge forming our beloved Ampli-family. Between all of our responsibilities -- from balancing jobs, academics, extracurriculars, internships, and preparing for life beyond the university -- we always find time to come together and share our talent, skill, and creativity, from pancake breakfasts to our wonderful time out in the woods, Camplified. Together we, and our sound, are Amplified.
